Congratulations to all the students who participated in the Parks Canada poster contest for Ontario students. They had 992 entries and we had two posters recognized ( one poster was 3rd place overall and the other was given an honourable mention. Both posters will be on the Parks Canada website in the near future. I am very proud of both students.

National Parks Assignment!!!

CGC 1D - Marks have been updated as of March 22, 2010. They can be checked at fc.gedsb.net/~mark.mccormack, then click on your class (CGC 1D) and look for your code name.

We started the National Parks of Canada assignment today and students will have 3-4 computer days over the next two weeks to complete their work. All students will present their assignment to the class. Due date for the assignment is Thurs. April 8th, 2010.

Students as a bonus assignment are creating posters of their national parks for the Parks Canada poster contest. These have to be completed by Monday, March 29th.

CGC 1PR - We have started studying ecozones in this class and will be completing a National Parks of Canada webquest and assignment.

Final Projects, Exams and Marks

Okay, so I am not very good at this blog thing but I am trying, I guess. We are in the final stretch of the semester and I hope everyone is working hard on their final projects, studying for exams and getting all their work completed.

CGC1D - Final Projects are due Tues. Jan. 19th and your exam is on Thurs. Jan. 28th.

CGG30 - Final Projects are due Wed. Jan. 20th and your exam is on Wed. Jan. 27th

SNC2P - Final Projects are due Wed. Jan. 20th and your exam is on Mon. Jan. 25th

Updates finally!!!

All marks will be posted at the following website: fc.gedsb/~mark.mccormack , after going to the website look for your class, click on it and find your code name.

SNC2P - In science, we have started the chemistry unit and have done some successful and unsuccessful labs. We have a few more labs to try out over the next week or two and will be completing this unit with a multi-day lab.

CGC1D - In geography, we will be starting our projects on National Parks of Canada. The students will have 2 days on the computers and be given a detailed outline on the expectations for this project. They will have to present their final product to the class at the end of next week.

CGG30 - In travel and tourism, we have made it to Europe, where we will be looking at common and uncommon tourist attractions. As well, we have just finished our Europe map.
