SNC2P - In science, we have started the chemistry unit and have done some successful and unsuccessful labs. We have a few more labs to try out over the next week or two and will be completing this unit with a multi-day lab.
CGC1D - In geography, we will be starting our projects on National Parks of Canada. The students will have 2 days on the computers and be given a detailed outline on the expectations for this project. They will have to present their final product to the class at the end of next week.
CGG30 - In travel and tourism, we have made it to Europe, where we will be looking at common and uncommon tourist attractions. As well, we have just finished our Europe map.

Sept. 22/09
SNC 2P - We will be starting our Species At Risk project this week. Students will choose a species at risk and have 2 computers days to research for a report and poster. Due date for the SAR project will be Oct. 2/09. The ecology quiz has been handed back from last week.
CGG 30 - We are continuing are study of World Attractions and will be doing a poster project and presentation on a specific attraction. The due date for the project will be Oct. 6/09. Also, we had our first quiz on Sept. 21st and most did well, it will be returned on Wednesday.
CGC1D - In the grade nine geography class we have been studying cartography skills including latitude, longitude, grid reference, contour lines, vertical exaggeration which will all be used in a final project for the unit. The project will start on Thurs. Sept. 24th and the due date for this project will be on Oct. 7th/09.

Welcome Back!!!
I cannot believe that summer break is coming to an end and we are back to school. I must say I am really excited to be back to school and I am ready to go. This semester I am teaching grade 10 applied science, grade 11 geography - travel and tourism and grade 9 academic geography. Hopefully, we have a great year and I am looking forward to meeting all of you on Sept. 8th.
